Dirk Digglers Blues Review

Dirk Digglers Blues Revue are a British blues rock band, drawing influence from American and British artists such as ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher, Peter Green and Dr Feelgood. Cuba Neils; the band’s debut album was completed in late 2016 and is a collection of their songs to date. Real life tales of women, wine and woe are told over thirteen great original blues tracks. From 70’s rock style opener ‘Nuthin’ Too Untoward’ to Lo-Fi ‘Black Cat Blues’ and Southern style ‘Keep Yo’ Momma Down the Line’, Cuba Neils is 45 minutes of top notch British Blues that is bound to excite any fan of the genre.

The album took its name from Cuba Neils Studio, where it was recorded. During their time at the studio none of the band met Cuba Neil but have been assured he is very nice.

Dirk Digglers Blues Revue continue to play the bars, clubs and blues festivals of the UK and are currently working on their second album.

Services Supplied

This client brief involved editing supplied imagery to create a Logo Design, Website Design and Build and eCommerce solution to sell digital MP3 and physical CD audio.

Visual Identity

I was given some superb artwork and imagery from Darroll and used this media to create the look and feel of the website so it matched the bands latest album release.  Live images were used for the homepage animated slider and a variety of video and audio media were embedded in the web pages.

I also integrated social media feeds in the form of Twitter and Instagram.
